This page explains what metalabs.global collects when you visit, and how to turn analytics off. MetaLabs is run by Matt Lok and is a trading name of Wu Wei Ltd, a private limited company registered in Cyprus (no. HE402936, registered office: Grigori Afxentiou 3, A.B.C Business Center, Office 503, 8010 Paphos, Cyprus). Wu Wei Ltd is responsible for the personal data described here. Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages people read, how they found the site, and whether they click to book a call. I use this only to improve the site. Google signals is off, and I don't use the data for advertising.
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_CQB3SZEVZW, set on metalabs.global. They let Analytics recognise a returning browser and last up to two years. - What's recorded: the pages you view, the site or search that sent you, your device and browser type, your approximate location (country and city), and clicks on the booking button. Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address.
- How long it's kept: event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Totals in reports are kept longer.
Turn analytics off
This switch stops Analytics loading in this browser from the next page you open, and deletes its cookies. It doesn't affect anything else on the site.
Analytics is on in this browser.
The site also respects Global Privacy Control, a browser setting that asks websites not to track you. If your browser sends it, Analytics never loads.
Booking a call
Bookings go through TidyCal. When you book, TidyCal collects your name, email address and your answers to the booking questions, and passes them to me so I can prepare for the call. See TidyCal's privacy policy.
Newsletter
The Meta newsletter runs on Beehiiv at learn.metalabs.global. If you subscribe, Beehiiv stores your email address and sends the emails. See Beehiiv's privacy policy.
If you email me, I keep the conversation so I can reply and for my business records.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves this site. It processes technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare's own visitor analytics are switched off for this site.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email hey@metalabs.global. If you're unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in Cyprus, where Wu Wei Ltd is registered: the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. You can also complain where you live; in the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office.
